We did have a GREAT TIME during my Chicks, Chocolate & Cards class this week. Of the 6 cards created, this was a favorite of most of my customers. This new stamp set "Oh Whale" has so many cute images making it versatile. You can check out the stamp set by CLICKING HERE. Here are a few tips to recreating this card:
- I stamped the waves in VersaMark and the 'splash marks' for the spout in Pool Party ink.
- Use the Cloudy Day embossing folder and emboss only half of this piece of cardstock so the clouds are only at the top, not in the 'water'.
- The whale was cut out using the coordinating Clearlit die "Happy Whale". The die also includes several other images, one of which is the anchor.
- I used 4" of Natural ribbon. I adhered the raw ends to the back of the layered pieces.
- I used 7" of Pool Party Baker's Twine to make the bow which was attached to the button with a Glue Dot. Another Glue Dot was used to attach the anchor
- I added a mini silver brad to the whale's eye to coordinate with the silver button.
