Color Spin!

 Christmas just isn't red and green anymore and this page proves just that.  I love the color combination. It's warm and trendy. 

I used the snowman to lend some credence to the wintery feel of this layout.  I cut up some scraps of ribbon to make his scarf and attached them with glue dots.  The glimmer brads add some sparkle, too.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!

 How lovely are thy branches!  Well, no 'branches' on these but they did turn out lovely!  Well, at least I think so! ((grin)) 

Last Thursday was our last scrapbook class for 2013 and as always, with my December classes, we had a Christmas Party!  I served hot cocoa (complete with mini marshmallows and whipped cream!) and cookies. Everyone got a free roll of Washi Tape, too!

 I created the trees from the largest pennant from the Perfect Pennants Die.  And, what would a Christmas tree would be without a little 'bling'!  I added a glimmer paper star to the top of each tree.

I also created a journaling pocket.  These are easy to make. Just cut a piece of cardstock about 1/2" wider than you'd like your journaling piece to be, notch the top with a circle punch and insert the journaling.  I added a pull out tab with some shredded Burlap Ribbon.

Leftovers!

I had purchased the Thankful Tablescape Kit to create a flip album (below) and I still had LOTS of product leftover. 

So, what do you do with leftovers? You re-purpose them, right?  

This card was created with just some of the leftovers.

This kit comes with lots of chalkboard banners.  On this card, instead of using the Chalk Marker INCLUDED in this kit, I stamped a greeting in Whisper White Craft ink and used White embossing powder and heat set it.  I even added a Neutral Designer Buttons for a little dimension. 

 The birch paper included in this kit is AWESOME and PLENTIFUL! (I'm secretly wish Stampin' Up! would sell it separately)  

The kit comes with 10 pre-cut and pre-scored pockets that I used to create the pages for my flip album.  The pockets are super for holding printed journaling cards.  Below, I used more chalkboard banners but this time with the Chalk Marker that's included.  Did I mention the Chalk Marker is included?  ((smile))

Prince of Peace

It's November 24th and that means I've created over 30 Christmas scrapbook pages and hundreds (probably close to 300!) Christmas cards.  I started creating Christmas projects in July!  So, by this time of year I'm looking to expound my creativity and come up with something new, fresh and modern.

 I used the Festive Flurries bundle (which includes the coordinating Framelits at a 15% discount), teamed it up with a few other stamp sets and lots of fun, punched circles to come up with this layout.  I used the White Gel Pen to create faux stitching 'connecting' the circles together. 

For me, the "hit" of this page is this amazing single stamp called "Prince of Peace", only available until January 31st.  I found the words fitting, not just for Christmas.  I can create sympathy and thinking of you cards with it, too....making it an extraordinary buy at $6.95.

The splattered background was created with my new, favorite stamp set "Gorgeous Grunge".  the pieces in that set make for great backgrounds!

A Holly Jolly Christmas

 38 days and counting!  Christmas always includes lots of picture-taking so I'll be sharing lots of Christmas scrapbook pages for you to copy and use.  Today's layout uses the Tags 4 You Bundle (gotta' love a 15% savings) and the Season of Style Designer Series Paper.

 I cut the squares 2"x2" of assorted designer paper and cardstock.  I stamped the images in Jet Black Staz On and colored them in with markers.

The word "Christmas" was created from the Joy to the World stamp set.  The words are actually part of a larger stamp but I only wanted the "Christmas".  Simple enough...use your marker.  By markering in a certain area you can omit the rest of the stamp - great for sentiments!  The buttons are the Sweet Buttons Embosslit.  Not only are they embossed but the Embosslit also cuts them out.
