Every holiday season we have a family tradition. We decorate the house, inside and out, the day after Thanksgiving (it takes 2 days but so worth it!) and that also kicks off our cocoa tradition. We have a cup of hot cocoa every night. This year, because we had 7 family members join us from out of state, we had to decorate a few days early. With the excitement of 19-22 family members gathering every day last week for meals, board games, card games and looking through family memorabilia, we have been very distracted from the cocoa but TONIGHT is THEE night! I've broken out the cocoa, the mugs and the marshmallows! What are your favorite family Christmas traditions?
Tips: 1) I used 10" of the cotton ribbon to make this bow and attached it with a few glue dots. It is a bit bulky and will require additional postage but it's worth it. 2) The cocoa mug and the steam were cut out using the Big Shot Framelits that coordinate with this set. 3) The designer paper was cut 1 1/2" x 5" then trimmed on the diagonal. 4) I punched the border, attached it to the back of the designer paper and trimmed the ends to mimic. 5) Notice how the cocoa in the cup is brown? I inked up the cup in Indigo ink, used my blender pen to remove that color from the cocoa portion and then used the Espresso marker to fill it in so it appeared brown.
