Antique

That's what this card design reminds me of...something old...ok, vintage, shabby chic. The best part about this style is that just about anything "goes".  There are few guidelines...just add what you like.  The splatter background was a "mistake" but the more I look at it, the more I think it was an okay mistake. I had mixed Chocolate Chip reinker in a spritz bottled, shook it and I didn't have the lid on tight and well, you guessed it! What a mess...all over the bottom of my card.  I left my stamp room to cook dinner and when I came back I had that splattered messy (and a little warped paper) lower right corner. I thought "heck, I'm just gonna leave it".  Hey, I might be on to something.  (This is where I insert a disclaimer: Don't try this at home.  Try it outside, in a protected, covered area because it WILL make a HUGE mess!)  ((smile))
I added a candy dot from the Brights Collection (this one is Melon Mambo) which gave just the right amount of "pop" to this card.  During my Chicks, Chocolate & Cards class on Monday, several of my customers used shades of greens, blues and even the neutrals and every card was gorgeous. Yep, you read right..this was just two of the six cards they made for $15.  Join us for my September 9th class. We'd love to have you!  CLICK HERE TO RSVP!
